ARCHDIOCESE FOR THE MILITARY SERVICES The mission of the Archdiocese is to ensure that service Members, Veterans and their families be able to seek sacramental preparation for baptism, confirmation, first Communion, penance, and marriage; to benefit from consultation with a priest, and receive the sacrament of penance as the defend our rights of freedom, speech, and face constant transition and uncertainty. The Arch diocese does not receive financial assistance from the government or the U.S. Armed Forces, and without parishes, it cannot receive fund from weekly collections. Its mission is solely supported by the generosity of donors such as you.

Recipes - Knights of Columbus & Family members: Five years ago we sold cookbooks to raise money for Coats for Kids. A second volume will be produced but recipes are needed. If you have a recipe you are willing to share (or have questions) contact Trevor Keckler.

BAKE SALE Fundraiser The VCCW will be holding a bake sale on November 2nd after mass. The proceeds will go towards the steeple project. Everyone is welcome.

VCCW: Our next meeting will be Wednesday, November 5 at 6:30pm in the parish hall. We will not have a December meeting, instead we will be gathering on Sunday, December 7th, for caroling, dinner, and gift exchange. Details to come.

”Visiting a Cemetery – From November 1st through November 30th: a plenary indulgence is granted the Christian faithful who devoutly visit a cemetery and pray, if only mentally, for the dead. This indulgence is applicable only to the souls in purgatory.

BOOK OF THE DEAD PRAYERS The Church has a long tradition of remembering those who have died, to the love and mercy of God. We do this in a special way on the Feast of All Souls Day, and throughout November. During the month of November, a Book of the Names of the Dead will be located in back of the church. All Parishioners are welcome to write the names of those they wish to be remembered in this special book.
ORACIONES PARA EL LIBRO DE LOS DIFUNTOS. La Iglesia tiene una larga tradición de recordar a los difuntos, para el amor y la misericordia de Dios. Lo hacemos de manera especial en la Fiesta de los Fieles Difuntos y durante todo el mes de noviembre. Durante noviembre, habrá un Libro de los Nombres de los Difuntos en la parte trasera de la iglesia. Todos los feligreses pueden escribir los nombres de quienes desean recordar en este libro especial.
STEEPLE PROJECT Fundraising has begun to replace the steeple roof. Please refer to the letter and donation form located at the church entrance doors for more details. You will be receiving a letter in the mail also.

FALL FEAST St. Lawrence – Monett is having their annual Fall Feast on Sunday, November 2nd from 11am-1:00pm. Menu: Turkey, Ham, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, corn, salads, bread and dessert. All homemade by the PCCW. Cost: Adults $10, Kids 5-11 $6, 4 and under FREE.
FESTÍN DE OTOÑO. St. Lawrence – Monett celebra su Festín de Otoño anual el domingo 2 de noviembre de 11:00 a. m. a 1:00 p. m.
