KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COAT DRIVE Do you have a new or gently used Coat, Jacket, Gloves, Hats, Shoes or blankets laying around? We need all Clothing sizes, especially Adult. The Verona Knights of Columbus are collecting these items for distribution on the last Saturday in September. There are families in our community who could benefit from your generosity. With the rampant inflation and rising energy cost affecting many middle and lower income families, we need to ensure that all able to be provided warmth this winter season. Collection boxes are located in both the Aurora Holy Trinity Church entryway and Verona Sacred Heart church entryway, Or text Mark Conn at (417)849-7180 for pick up.
RECOLECCIÓN DE ABRIGOS DE LOS CABALLEROS DE COLÓN ¿Tiene abrigos, chaquetas, guantes, sombreros, zapatos o mantas nuevos o usados? Necesitamos ropa de todas las tallas, especialmente de adulto. Los Caballeros de Colón de Verona están recolectando estos artículos para distribuirlos el último sábado de septiembre. Hay familias en nuestra comunidad que podrían beneficiarse de su generosidad. JUBILEE YEAR The Jubilee Year 2025, proclaimed by Pope Francis, is titled "Pilgrims of Hope." This Holy Year will focus on renewing ourselves in the virtue of hope, especially in a world grappling with the aftermath of war and the pandemic. The Jubilee will begin with the opening of the Holy Door in St. Peter's Basilica and culminate with its closing on January 6, 2026.
The Jubilee Prayer is the official Prayer allows pilgrims from all over the world to use the same words to express gratitude to God for the Jubilee experience and request the grace of forgiveness.
Prayer: Father in heaven, may the faith you have given us in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother, and the flame of charity enkindled in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope for the coming of your Kingdom.
May your grace transform us into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel. May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos in the sure expectation of a new heaven and a new earth, when, with the powers of Evil vanquished, our glory will shine eternally.
May the grace of the Jubilee reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope, a yearning for the treasures of heaven. May that same grace spread the joy and peace of our Redeemer throughout the earth. To you our God, eternally blessed, be glory and praise for ever. Amen
AÑO JUBILEO. El Año Jubilar 2025, proclamado por el Papa Francisco, se titula "Peregrinos de la Esperanza". Este Año Santo se centrará en renovarnos en la virtud de la esperanza, especialmente en un mundo que lidia con las secuelas de la guerra y la pandemia. El Jubileo comenzará con la apertura de la Puerta Santa en la Basílica de San Pedro y culminará con su cierre el 6 de enero de 2026.
La Oración del Jubileo es la oración oficial que permite a los peregrinos de todo el mundo usar las mismas palabras para expresar gratitud a Dios por la experiencia jubilar y pedir la gracia del perdón.
Oración: Padre celestial, que la fe que nos has dado en tu hijo, Jesucristo, nuestro hermano, y la llama de la caridad encendida en nuestros corazones por el Espíritu Santo, reaviven en nosotros la bendita esperanza en la venida de tu Reino.
Que tu gracia nos transforme en incansables cultivadores de las semillas del Evangelio. Que esas semillas se transformen desde el interior de la humanidad y del cosmos entero en la segura expectativa de un nuevo cielo y una nueva tierra, cuando, vencidos los poderes del Mal, nuestra gloria brille eternamente. Que la gracia del Jubileo despierte en nosotros, peregrinos de la esperanza, el anhelo por los tesoros del cielo. Que esa misma gracia extienda la alegría y la paz de nuestro Redentor por toda la tierra. A ti, Dios nuestro, eternamente bendito, sea la gloria y la alabanza por los siglos. Amén.

ST. MARY’S SCHOOL IN PIERCE CITY HAS A JOB OPENING: Looking for a great place to work? St. Mary’s School is in need of a cook for our cafeteria program. The hours are from 8-2, Tuesday through Friday. The duties would include prepping, cooking, and serving meals as well as after meal clean up. MASS INTENTIONS Would you like to have a Mass intention for a loved one who has died or living? The Mass stipend is $10 dollars. You may put the name of the person on a note and let us know if they are living or deceased, put it in an envelope marked Masses along with the $10 stipend for each Mass and drop in the collection basket.
INTENCIONES de masas ¿te gustaría tener una intención de Misa para un ser querido que ha muerto o vivo? El estipendio de la Misa es de $10 dólares.
