HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH We are having a Back to School Adoration &Youth Confession with Bishop Rice and other priests from our deanery on Sunday, August 24th starting at 5pm. Please RSVP to Jimena 417-669-5688 so they will know how may snacks to prepare for. This is a great opportunity to get acquainted with other Youth in our area and join in worship of our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament at adoration.
JÓVENES DE PREPARATORIA. Tendremos una Adoración de Regreso a Clases y una Confesión Juvenil con el Obispo Rice y otros sacerdotes de nuestro decanato el domingo 24 de agosto a partir de las 5 p. m. SCHOOL SUPPLIES The VCCW is collecting school supplies for teachers this year. These supplies will benefit our PSR teachers, St. Lawrence teachers, and depending on quantity, teachers at Verona and Aurora. The needed items are: hand sanitizer, Kleenex, expo markers & erasers, tape, liquid glue, and Clorox (disinfecting) wipes.
ÚTILES ESCOLARES: El VCCW está recolectando útiles escolares para los maestros este año. Estos útiles beneficiarán a nuestros maestros de PSR, maestros de St. Lawrence y, dependiendo de la cantidad, a los maestros de Verona y Aurora. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COAT DRIVE Do you have a new or gently used Coat, Jacket, Gloves, Hats, Shoes or blankets laying around? We need all Clothing sizes, especially Adult. The Verona Knights of Columbus are collecting these items for distribution on September 27th the last Saturday in September. There are families in our community who could benefit from your generosity. With the rampant inflation and rising energy cost affecting many middle and lower income families, we need to ensure that all able to be provided warmth this winter season. Collection boxes are located in both the Aurora Holy Trinity Church entryway and Verona Sacred Heart church entryway, Or text Mark Conn at (417)849-7180 for pick up.
RECOLECCIÓN DE ABRIGOS DE LOS CABALLEROS DE COLÓN ¿Tiene abrigos, chaquetas, guantes, sombreros, zapatos o mantas nuevos o usados? Necesitamos ropa de todas las tallas, especialmente de adulto Los Caballeros de Colón de Verona están recolectando estos artículos para distribuirlos el 27 de septiembre, el último sábado de septiembre. Hay familias en nuestra comunidad que podrían beneficiarse de su generosidad. ATTENTION LADIES Registration is now open for the 4th Annual Catholic Women’s Conference, which will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Holy Trinity Parish in Springfield. It will begin at 9am and conclude with mass at 3:30 p.m. This year’s theme, Renewed in Hope, is based on Romans 5:5 “Hope does not disappoint.” All are welcome. Comenzará a las 9:00 a. m. y concluirá con una misa a las 3:30 p. m. El tema de este año, «Renovadas en la Esperanza», se basa en Romanos 5:5: «La esperanza no defrauda». Todas son bienvenidas. MASS INTENTIONS Would you like to have a Mass intention for a loved one who has died or living? The Mass stipend is $10 dollars. You may put the name of the person on a note and let us know if they are living or deceased & which Mass time, put it in an envelope marked Masses along with the $10 stipend for each Mass and drop in the collection basket.
INTENCIONES de masas ¿te gustaría tener una intención de Misa para un ser querido que ha muerto o vivo? El estipendio de la Misa es de $10 dólares. Puedes poner el nombre de la persona en una nota y la hora de la misa, y déjenos saber si viven o difuntos, puso en un sobre marcan misas junto con el estipendio de $10 para cada misa y colocar en la canasta.
